Challenging Common Misconceptions of Fractions through GeoGebra

Abstract: In this study we discuss why certain misconceptions of fractions exist, how teachers can challenge these misconceptions, and how the interactive mathematics software GeoGebra can be used to enhance understanding of fractions. This presentation shares activities based on GeoGebra applets that address some common misconceptions of fractions.
