Abstract: This study that explores biliteracy as mediated by digital technologies understood and practiced in schools and the social context of home by Arab immigrant students in the US. Drawing on socio-cultural theories (Vygotsky, 1986; Wertsch, 1991), the study will examine the role of digitally mediated technologies in assisting children to become acquainted with their own cultural practices that are different from the cultural practices of the dominant US culture, where there is little or no direct access to it.
