Abstract: To keep pace and stay ahead of the rapid development and implementation of new science and technology in the 21st century, students and teachers need to have an ability to transfer core principles between the primary technological STEM domains. In order to do this foundational technological concepts (FTC) need to be learned, understood, and applied. This research project investigates the identification, definition, and application of the FTC. Initial findings suggest FTC can facility the transfer and application of knowledge from each STEM domain.
