Abstract: In this paper, we present an overview of how digital storytelling technologies have evolved over the last decade, from software used on a desktop or laptop computer, to web-based applications, smartphones and tablet computers. As digital storytelling is being integrated in classrooms and other educational settings around the world, new tools have been developed that employ easy to use, cross-platform interfaces tied to cloud-based storage and online sharing.
