Abstract: This paper and presentation detail the use of mobiles in undergraduate and graduate teacher preparation courses, in-school teacher professional development, and classroom practice to offer a framework towards effectively integrating the devices for learning. Educators from K-12 and higher education teacher preparation programs provide examples of implementation, policy, professional development, curriculum integration, and connections to other technology tools and Apps relying on mobile devices to promote effective learning. Believing practices in K-12 and teacher education programs can inform one another, we conclude with a discussion of challenges, successes, and next steps extending this model of mobile learning to others.
