Abstract: Abstract. In this study we present an illustration of the use of two software tools available for website accessibility-checking. The tools, WebAIM’s WAVE and OCAD University’s AChecker, provide users with an automated ability to check conformance with accessibility guidelines and standards such as the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 and section 508 of the United States Rehabilitation Act. This capability is of use to teachers designing websites for use by their students, helping ease accessibility for students with both hidden and acknowledged disabilities.
