Abstract: Faculty from Chinese and US universities are examining the potential impact of gaming on language acquisition, as part of collaborative world languages program. Leveraging the kinesthetic and voice command features of the Xbox and Kinect, and related software, these international faculties are supplementing traditional instructional approaches in teaching second language acquisition—Chinese, English, Hindi and Spanish—to university students.
