Abstract: With recent advancements in instructional design, technology adoption theories, and in information and communication technology relating to online, online teaching is increasingly becoming a norm in the teaching and learning process for higher education. However, current methods that seek to explore and analyze faculty involvement in online teaching have not advanced to keep up with current trends in the field. Using qualitative research methods to explore faculty involvement in online teaching, theories of experience, postulated by Dewey (1938) and the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology, by Venkatesh, Morris, Davis and Davis, (2003) a new integrated model has emerged, giving voice to a new approach and framework in exploring the experience of faculty who are involved in online teaching.
