Abstract: Blended learning has received much attention in recent years, with several programs reporting under-utilization of virtual tools by participants. The results of Moodle forum posts and Elluminate virtual sessions for a single cohort of middle and high school teachers in a blended learning physics professional development program were analyzed to determine trends in the usage of virtual tools provided for teacher and staff collaboration. Friedman ANOVAs revealed significant differences for the number of conversational turns, for different topics of discussion during Elluminate sessions, and activity in Moodle.
