Developing a Conceptual Framework for Motivation of Professional Educators According to Content and Process Theories
Brief Paper
ID: 35542
Abstract: The paper proposes that educators throughout all levels of their careers undertake a holistic self-inventory approach when role seeking within the education community. A conceptual framework of popular intrinsic and extrinsic motivational theories is developed and discussed in regard to the role of educators. Educators are encouraged to understand and consider intrinsic and extrinsic motivations in light of choices, preferences, rewards, and accomplishments, especially when seeking new positions in the field.
