Abstract: This paper examines the use of Ning, a social networking platform, as a learning strategy in undergraduate and graduate hybrid and online class at a over two years. Using the lens of Community of Inquiry, this study investigated how effective this tool was in creating a conducive learning environment and increasing student satisfaction through a variety of interactions. Quantitative results showed significant group differences existed between the hybrid and online students with hybrid students rated Ning more effective in creating both a conducive learning environment and increasing satisfaction.
