Abstract: This study is part of a larger study that aims to better understand the complex dynamics of information seeking and knowledge construction as it occurs in a collaborative learning setting. A total of 34 graduate students who participated in a collaborative research project were asked to complete reflective journals throughout the project. The results of this study revealed that students who participated in a collaborative research project initiated the projects in confident ways but became more stressed as the project progressed.
