Abstract: This article aims to demonstrate that social networking in school is a powerful resource to promote international educational exchanges and a powerful mechanism for the development of key competences such as: communication in the mother tongue and communication in a foreign language, digital competence, learning-to-learn, interpersonal civic competences and cultural expression. Social networks should be part of the programming of the schools and have to integrate teachers, subjects and students in a large network open to the community and individuals of other cultures and countries. The project goes beyond the reality of the classroom, making global development and improving many key competencies in national exams.
