Abstract: Semantic Web is defined as the extension of current web that enables increased collaboration among computers and people. Semantic Web functions through services and intelligent agents by retrieving information from the websites. This happens by defining relationships among web pages, which then allows computers to understand the ‘meaning’ or ‘properties’ behind these pages. Because of this, Semantic Web is sometimes called as ‘intelligent Web’. This paper discusses benefits and potential of Semantic Web in the context of teacher education. In addition, a list of resources is provided for teacher educators.
