Abstract: VoicingBoard is a computer based tool designed for use in the “manga-based thinking method.” Within this method, which is based on Bakhtin’s theory of dialogism, learners are asked to represent their lesson plans in the form of manga and then revise the plans by reflecting them on the manga. This method is expected to assist student teachers in envisioning student voices, since creating a manga necessarily involves imaging of the feelings and speech of the characters therein. This demonstration showcases the VoicingBoard system and provides its theoretical background.
