Share Paper: Developing a New Technology Infusion Program for Preparing Saudi Preservice Teachers

Abstract: This paper proposes a program of study that teacher preparation institutions in Saudi Arabia can use in order to ensure a systematic integration of information and communication technologies (ICTs) into their programs that would eventually produce prospective teachers who are ready to teach at the digital age. The author proposes guidelines that would help teacher educators to increase the efficiency of technology integration and increase their graduates’ skills and knowledge regarding ICTs. These guidelines include: proposed integration goals, conceptual design dimensions, and a detailed discussion of the proposed courses.
