Abstract: There’s been talk about the digital divide for a long time, but there are many more equity and social justice issues involved in the use of technology within education. This interactive, fast moving panel session will draw participants into a lively discussion to heighten awareness of a range of equity and social justice issues beyond the digital divide. When standing at the intersection of cyber equity and social justice you’ll hear about issues including cyber bullying, equity issues surrounding small portable mobile devices, universal design for learning, access in online learning, leadership decisions, and the introduction of the country’s first GBLTQ Online High School.
