Abstract: The Team-Taught Cohort Model for pre-service teachers includes a “block” of courses in combination with a field experience in the second year of a four-year university teacher education program. The TPACK framework was formally introduced to the Team-Taught Cohort Model during the second year of the study. Four self-report surveys were administered generating seven measures for each group of students. Effect Sizes measured using Cohen’s d ranged from 0.43 to 1.78 across the seven measures for students in the two semesters prior to TPACK and from 0.47 to 2.14 for the two semesters after TPACK was introduced. Results indicate that the Team-Taught Cohort Model is successful in increasing pre-service teachers’ competence and confidence in technology integration in the classroom especially within the TPACK framework.
