Abstract: There has been an explosion in the growth of online education as a result of needs of 21st century learners and emerging educational technologies. Many traditional universities are now offering a number of courses and, in many cases, entire programs online. The optimal merging of technology and pedagogy in an online course is very important for its teaching success.
