ICT in Teacher Education: Designing a Practicum for Reflection and Inquiry
Abstract: In this article we describe and reflect upon the constant evolution of the student teaching (practicum) of the last four years at the School of Teacher Education at the University of the Basque Country, Donostia-San Sebastián. The faculty members involved in this project have been, and continue, updating the old practicum to include meaningful uses of ICT (Information and Communication Technology). The preliminary evaluation of the last four years of experience reveals that these innovations helped to enhance inquiry and reflection during the practicum, as well as to lessen students´ sense of isolation.
