Abstract: This session will explore the use of digital documentary filmmaking in the social studies classroom as a method for meeting the cognitive and social needs of the gifted student. The author will describe the benefit of using digital documentaries through an explanation of the needs of gifted student, and how they are addressed through the research, planning and creation of digital documentaries. An example student product will be shared with the participants.
