Abstract: Instructors design rubrics for evaluating students’ projects. Most of instructors also know how to use MS Excel to design a grade book. However, not many instructors have ever used MS Excel to create a dynamic electronic rubric for online courses although people do put static rubrics on their Web course site. This paper discusses functions of a rubric and introduces dynamic electronic rubrics to the participants who are interested in creating a dynamic electronic rubric for their course sites.
