Abstract: This paper is a report of a collaborative work in progress. The goal of the project is to develop repeatable practices for creating 508-compliant, accessible online versions of materials used in university courses. Elements that are common of inaccessible material are discussed, and easy-to-implement solutions are presented. Our experience with this project affords others the opportunity to learn from our successes and travails and will enable other educators to improve the accessibility of their online learning material.
