Distance Education: Online Course Evaluation

Abstract: This study focuses on the evaluation of online courses at the university level. As the number of courses being offered online increases, there is a need to review how formative and summative evaluation of these courses is being completed. This study focuses specifically on formative evaluation being used in online courses for all public four-year universities/colleges in the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) Central Division. The Central Division encompasses 13 states in the middle part of the nation. This particular study is on-going.
