Abstract: Connections. Despite differences in organization structures, colleges and universities boast about connections as a value-added aspect of the educational process. While the available services at institutions vary, the support structure provided helps to retain and train students during their time in school. Fostering a culture that supports collaboration between the various areas on campus is more important now than ever with services being shared through consortium models, mergers and more. Previous research from the late 1990’s to mid 2000’s indicates that collaboration is key to satisfaction. With new technologies available in the post-COVID world, this brainstorming session will seek to provide ideas and space for educators and student-centered professionals to explore options for collaboration. Student support services and academics both have one common goal - serving students. Even with that common goal, there are instances when support services and academics provide everything but a united front. What happens when academic departments, student organizations and other university offices work together to provide a supportive learning environment?
