Abstract: While asynchronous video does allow for a face to be associated with the content of the course, there is still a lack of engagement between the instructor and student because the interaction does not happen live as it would in a synchronous class. Utilizing factors of para-social interaction, which increases the feeling of social presence for viewers, an experiment is planned that will use three sections of the Professional Advantage Program at a small to medium sized public university to test the impact of PSI factors on student performance and attitude.
