Abstract: : Intended for scholars and practitioners interested in monitoring how policy, ethics, and big data impact society, this panel discussion will introduce and seek input for a new project – the SPRY Network - to create an infrastructure for STEM education practitioner research focused on equity. The goal of the project will be to advance all forms of research needed for successful local STEM education and career pipelines that are effective for all – regardless of race, creed, disability status, backgrounds, or color of their skin. In an incubation phase of the project, STEM education professional associations such as AACE, NTLS and SITE, representing all of PK-16, will produce white papers, contributing to the development of an anticipated 5-year proposal to establish a mid-scale infrastructure with a purpose of providing equipment, instrumentation, data, analysis, research support, and advice to key educational stakeholders concerning technology implementation and issues surrounding technology equity. Presentations and discussions at conferences of the organizations will invite input and participation from members and member institutions. All are welcome to attend and participate.
