Designing Digital Assessment Strategies in Teacher Preparation

How do other EPPs approach training Teacher Candidates to teach in online environments? Please share your experiences (no judgment).

Hey Michael. Excellent presentation, thanks very much for the new information. I was especially interested in your commentary on the hesitation of teachers to create more interesting, less restrictive assessments in their classrooms. Obviously they hesitate because it’s a challenging task, but how do you think we can encourage this more?

Thank you for the kind words. It is certainly challenging. I think doing small, intentional steps that lead toward less restrictive assignments is the right way. But even with my stand-alone class, I feel like one semester isn't enough time.

I wonder if a repository of great ideas is helpful. Let me ponder this.
