Abstract: Research is starting to identify the need for professional development on social emotional learning (SEL) and trauma-informed strategies in the classroom. Teachers need to be prepared to provide both behavior and academic support to students who have experienced trauma. This session will provide data that supports learning outcomes for preservice teachers participating in professional development sessions.
