Abstract: The purpose of this study was to examine effects of college students’ mindset (growth/fixed mindset) on their mastery goal orientation, and to confirm the mediating effect of failure-tolerance between their mindset and mastery goal orientation. A total of 303 college students (198 female, 105 male) from a university in G City, South Korea, participated in the study. Data was collected from participants' self-reported survey on mindset, mastery goal orientation, failure tolerance.
