Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic caused widespread challenges for many educators across the world. Music educators were no different as they turned to social media for help resolving their technology gaps, lesson plan ideas, and networking for moral support in the face of exceptional challenges. The sudden shift to online, without training in the platform, caused unimagined stress for music teachers at all levels from elementary, secondary, and collegiate teaching. Changes were necessary to one-on-one lesson teaching, ensemble rehearsals, and classroom courses such as general music, collegiate music method courses, music theory, and aural skills courses.
