Not Your Great Aunt’s Correspondence Course – Scenarios in an Online Learning Experience
Abstract: This session asks participants to role-play in a scenario in which they create an interactive scenario for their own courses. The goal is to make an online course memorable, interactive, and engaging by designing a scenario, assigning characters, and defining roles for their learners to play. The session itself is a scenario where a community college is under new management run by creative faculty who want to turn their correspondence courses into robust interactive online courses. The learning outcome for the participants is to make an online course engaging and interactive instead of a repository of files and links to online exams.
