Abstract: The West Metropolitan Virtual Reality (WMVR) summer camp was designed to engage minoritized K-12 participants in coding and designing virtual reality environments while facilitating their critical thinking and problem solving skills, which will be collectively referred to as “creative processes.” Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the researchers redesigned the in-person WMVR Camp to be implemented entirely online and to adapt to the changing contextual needs of summer camp participants in the summer of 2020.
