Share Paper: A Content Analysis of PPTs: Exploring Preservice Teachers’ TPACK Development

Abstract: This paper reports a study, exploring, via the lens of Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) (Koehler & Mishra, 2009), how preservice teachers enrolled in a reading methods course presented in PPTs information about reading development and instruction. This study addressed a gap in existing research on preservice teachers’ development of pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) (Shulman, 1986) and TPACK. Data analysis of 27 projects completed in PPTs followed a qualitative methodology (Silverman, 2012).
