Abstract: Mentoring is a critical matter of survival for junior faculty in higher education. This work in progress reports the three primary approaches used to facilitate high-quality mentoring in the field of higher education. Further, it is the investigation the perceptions of mentors versus mentees in formal and informal career mentoring partnerships.
