Share Paper: Increasing the Effectiveness of Faculty Professional Development with Open Educational Resources and Instructional Video
Abstract: Increasing faculty engagement in professional development can be thwarted by several factors. By treating faculty like non-traditional students and offering a variety of flexible options to access the training, including instructional video and content that was developed to be an open educational resource, we increased the effectiveness of the training program. This strategy was adopted to train faculty to use a learning management system that allowed retention software to assist student success coaches.
