Abstract: Job search during the pandemic poses unprecedented challenges. Online interviews and campus visits are also unique situations due to COVID-19 pandemic. We recognize all the challenges and barriers associated with these already demanding processes. As a Department of Instructional Technology, we successfully searched for two assistant professor positions and recruited two new colleagues to join our department during the 2019-2020 job season. During these processes, we learned a lot and hoped to disseminate them in these mentoring moment presentations, highlighting various topics from the perspectives of both the search committee and candidates. We want to share our collective knowledge, advice, and suggestions with the graduate students in our field and answer their questions about the job search and interview process. In our mentoring session, we will share our thoughts on from the perspectives of new, junior, senior faculty, and our department chair.
