Abstract: The unprecedented school closures caused unplanned distance learning plans that were not planned thoroughly by considering both the potential risks of safeguarding against and the potential opportunities to leverage. With every crisis comes profound challenges, and transformation opportunities have shown that it is possible to build back better (Winthrop, 2020). However, our experience showed that even schools had an opportunity to respond better in the fall semester, the current practices are not perfectly fit the needs of families, students, and teachers.
