Abstract: The ability to offer quality field placement opportunities and mentoring by current teachers was negatively impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. The use of technology increased and provided an opportunity to continue field experiences in a different way for prospective teachers. Given the changes in all areas of life, the “flexibility of scheduling and the ability for pre-service teachers” to access practicing teachers “without prior arrangement and scheduling” was desirable for both pre-service and practicing teachers. (Lamb 2019) Yurko and Reboli (2020) created an experience pairing practicing teachers (graduate students) with undergraduates (prospective teachers) to help create a field experience opportunity. ...
