Abstract: Educators are placing more emphasis on intercultural education for students in order for them to understand how intertwined we are as global citizens. By developing intercultural competence, learners can develop higher levels of empathy and flexibility. Further, through multicultural educational experiences, students can more effectively navigate and interact in diverse settings. The educator’s role in developing intercultural education curriculum is crucial. Therefore, this presentation will provide an overview of intercultural education and technology-enhanced classroom activities that educators can implement to further support student development of intercultural competency and global mindedness.
