Abstract: The COVID-19 global pandemic created an opportunity for education innovation. Partnering with an English-immersion school in Iquique, Chile, teacher candidates researched, created, and virtually taught unique 5E, multi-subject units of study pertaining directly to the residents of Iquique. Tools incorporated in the units included the Google Suite, green-screen technologies, VR, AR, Adobe Spark Video, and online gaming. While language was an occasional barrier, the students and teacher candidates were able to take virtual teaching to a higher level; you can teach anyone, even when halfway around the world.
