Abstract: In Japan, all high school students will learn basic programming in the compulsory subject "Information I" in the new curriculum starting in 2022. We believe that it is important for even beginners to experience not only basic content but also practical programming. So we developed a learning system called "Dolittle SS" that allows high school students to easily write programs for AI speakers. Since AI speakers are devices that recognize speech and respond with voice, students can develop applications for AI speakers by writing programs that input and output text. In this presentation, we will introduce a learning environment and a high school class to easily write programs for AI speakers. We will then present learning materials and university classes that help students understand object-oriented inheritance using easy to understand examples such as biological classification.
