Abstract: Parents play a pivotal role in children’s education. There are various forms of parental involvement. Coactivity, especially participation in parent-child collaboration workshops, is an important part of parental involvement. This study aims to find insights that reveal factors leading to parents’ participation in workshops. An analysis was conducted to study parents’ confidence in and attitude toward supporting children at home, by comparing parents who participated in workshops with their children and those who did not. The results showed that confidence in and the sense of need to support children at home are key factors that lead parents to coactivity.
