Abstract: The purpose of this study was to explore student teachers’ perceptions of completing their student teaching and edTPA during a virtual time. Additionally, the study examined whether student teachers prefer to complete their student teaching face-to-face or virtually. The participants in this study were student teachers who completed their student teaching before and during the Global Pandemic of COVID 19. The study used a mixed-methods design utilizing online surveys. Questions included both open-ended and Likert-type questions. Many recurring themes were evident from the collected data: (a) weekly check-ins, (b) zoom meetings, (c) prompt feedback, (d) instructor-student relationship, (e) instructor support, and (f) peer support.
