Abstract: New and emerging technologies are forcing universities to change their approach to teaching and reconsider the process of learning. The Digital Education Initiatives & Timely Solutions project explores how universities can benefit from international networks that support educators to use emerging technologies to enhance learning opportunities. The newly designed Train the Trainer -course uses the EU Digital Education Framework to guide the design, delivery and evaluation of a continual education course to support academic staff membersĀ“ transitioning to online teaching. The course was planned to support? academic staff to be able to indentify their core teaching values and find necessary technical and pedagogical solutions to transfer their teaching style into an?online teaching environment.?? This conference poster is focused on the Train the Trainer online learning course from the teacherĀ“s perspective in order to improve the course in further iterations. Even though participants reported to be able to reach the course outcomes, the facilitators found a need for deeper discussions on values of teaching. This need is supported by the current pandemic situation and recent studies of online learning pedagogy.? ?The Train the Trainer course will be revised according to the participant feedback in a temperature check, summartive evaluation and follow-up interviews and carried simultaneously in five countries (Finland, Italy, Malta, Slovenia and Cyprus)?in fall 2021.
