Abstract: Many educators have survived, perhaps even barely, the scramble of quickly transitioning to fully remote learning with very little notice. This fall brought additional challenges for teachers who had to prepare for re-opening plans that were very fluid and may have changed daily. Still, educators had to plan for in-person, hybrid and completely online learning. Many school personnel are struggling to maintain student engagement and motivation with so many modes of instruction being carried out in schools across the nation. In this session, several application-based strategies will be modeled that aid in promoting attention and interest to increase student engagement and motivation. These strategies help you reach and engage all of your students and crush the curve that the pandemic has created on the educational scene. Utilizing these strategies can increase engagement and motivation in your students by 67% (Macon, 2015) and allow you to catch your breath.
