Share Paper: Employing Gamification and Adaptive Learning to Improve Title IX Training

Abstract: Title IX training is required for any college receiving federal funding in the US. Traditionally the Title IX Coordinator is tasked to develop and administer the training without assistance from an instructional designer and is performed in a face-to-face traditional environment. Our school designed an online Title IX training that harnessed the analytical tools of a Learning Management System (LMS) to better report on the training’s completion and student success. The training implemented best practices in instructional design including the use of gamification and adaptive learning.
