Investigating the Problem Solving Experiences of Students in Actionsctipt 3 Programming Language
Abstract: Problem solving in computer programming requires students to identify, analyze, plan, and create the possible ways to solve the problem. There is an elective course, "Interactive Animation" which requires computer programming, given in the department of computer education and instructional technology, Anadolu University, Turkey. In 2009-2010 academic year – fall semester, instructor asked students to run a screen recording software program to record their screens during the second applied mid-term examination with their permissions. Videos recorded in the second mid-term examination will be analyzed to investigate the problem solving experiences of students in actionscript 3 programming language. It is anticipated that the findings of the video analysis contribute to the field by exploring the difficulties of students in problem solving in actionscript 3 programming language.
