Abstract: This practice-based paper is a systems-thinking approach to makerspace design in K-12 education. With a vast array of research and development in the area of makerspaces, it is critical that commonality is defined in successful makerspace implementations in order to provide schools with an approach to getting started. Through both research and practice, successful trends become apparent and help define the system design that was created as a result of this process.
