Using Triad Video Review to Engage Online Graduate Students and Improve Teaching
Abstract: An online graduate-level teacher education program sought a better way to prepare, assess, and support general education teachers’ teaching of students with disabilities prior to their practicum. In order to assist graduate students who are practicing general education teachers learn more about special education, apply what they learn to their teaching, and gain feedback, a video reflection/assessment approach was implemented as a triad video review model. The triad video review provides a way to engage online graduate students with each other and the professor in positive ways that support them in improving their teaching. This poster/paper briefly outlines the triad video review model.
